Her first big debut was with Ja Rule on Saturday Night Live singing her first song always on time. Most people think she is new but they are in for a little surprise because she is not that new she as been known for he great praise for being a actress, dancer, singer, choreographer and she as got a lot of spice for an entertainer. At first like most artist Ashanti started singing in a church choir at age six, her career took a bigger step when she decided to enter a talent show in 1994.Her majestic voice took away the attention of the audience and then it was in that very moment she decided to have her voice heard more in places like China Club, Caroline's Comedy Club, Soul Cafe, Madison Square, Greek fest 2000 remember these are only few places that she began singing in.. She signed with AJM Records but very quickly Irv Gotti from Murder inc. offered her a contract. This was the beginning of a dream come true for the young but talented Ashanti.. Ashanti as released a solo track album apart from being featured on rapper Vita's album, one of the murders in murder inc. who re-written Madonna's song Justify my love which is featured on the fast and furious soundtrack. Ashanti learnt to dance Bernice Johnson Cultural Arts center and she performed with performed with the Senior Pro Ensemble at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, the Apollo Theater, Brooklyn Academy of Music and the Black Spectrum Theater. Her dance performance was very impressive that she got credits for it on the Disney Channel. The multi talented singer, dancer, and song writter helped Jenifer Lopez(JLO) and Christina Milian.
